Born and raised in Hamburg, I discovered my passion for computers as a teenager. At 16, I began programming, quickly becoming fascinated by the world of games and websites. This early curiosity set the foundation for my academic journey, where I delved deeper into computer science.
During university, I developed a keen interest in distributed systems, sensor networks, and environmental data. Life took an exciting turn when I started my PhD: I welcomed my first son and married a psychologist (she makes sure I am not going mad). Despite the challenges of balancing research and family—especially after our second child arrived—I completed my PhD in 2024, taking some parental leave along the way.
After earning my doctorate, I focused on analyzing and evaluating data from diverse sources, aiming to enhance data quality and availability. In my free time, I remain captivated by games—both board and computer. I have enjoyed years as a dungeon master, creating worlds and homebrew rules, and I love testing new cooperative game ideas, especially those involving cards and dice.
